You had me at ‘Voo’. Inspired by an actual tasty treat by Voodoo Doughnuts in Oregon, Rogue’s Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale sounds like a good idea — in theory. But this could very easily be less than the sum of its parts, i.e., gross. I have yet to find this in my area, but will report back as soon as the pink bottle is spotted and tested.

Doughy hey? I usually draw the line at malty. But I plan on giving this a try.
I actually tried this last week. I’d call it a fun 1x gimmick. The bacon and maple flavors weren’t half bad. Funny enough, it also had a little bit of a doughy taste (hence, doughnut beer).
