Phở, the brothy Vietnamese staple long associated with affordability, will soon enter the ‘world’s most expensive’ delirium. One bowl of what is called AnQi Phở will be auctioned off to benefit the Children’s Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
The bidding for this bowl of soup starts at $5000. But before anyone feels that parting with five-large might seem a bit ridiculous for what is essentially a peasant dish — the AnQi Phở will instead contain A5 Wagyu beef, white alba truffles, a foie gras broth, hand-raised bean sprouts, and noodles made from rare blue lobster meat.
No… it’s still stupid, but it’s for a good cause. Enjoy your soup, random rich person.

If I had the money I would buy it. Sounds amazing AND a good cause.
