The Oreo cookie wafer… It’s round, distinctively embossed, and if oversized and rendered in cast iron, would make an ideal manhole cover. Fortunately, artist Andrew Lewicki was thinking ahead.
Behold the Oreo Manhole Cover. At 28 inches in diameter, and actually cast in iron, the replica chocolate wafer will certainly keep you from falling into any manhole. Unfortunately, it does not come double stuffed.

I’m pretty sure that this was a one-off art installation. But they should be installed on every city street.
I would love to know if they were ever put in any cities and if so wich one
