Created by artist Mark Gmehling for the French mineral water Nestlé Hépar, the campaign was created to help reinforce the magnesium-rich water’s aid in the digestive process. Various foodstuffs are formed rather convincingly — and disturbingly — to resemble a smooth digestive tract.
A new animated short film by Annie Leonard tells the not-so-flattering story behind bottled water. The film carries an environmental message and discusses reasons behind our enchantment with the product — including what she calls ‘Manufactured Demand’. We are also urged to just say ‘no’ to the bottle and go back to the tap.
