The Keyboard Waffle Iron Will Make Your Type of Breakfast

A few years ago, we were teased with the concept of a waffle iron that would make waffles in the form of a keyboard. Now, this type of breakfast may finally become a reality.

The Keyboard Waffle Iron is now officially a Kickstarter project, and about halfway through its target goal. The die-cast aluminum iron will conveniently make a large keyboard waffle right on your stovetop.

Break out the syrup to pour into the keys, and don’t CTRL+ALT+DEL the butter. Find out more about the project here.

Furniture Waffle Iron

The furniture pan, officially titled Sapore Dei Mobili (Furniture Tasting), is the work of artists Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira. Drawing from their Japanese and Portuguese heritage, the pan is actually influenced by Japanese small cakes, and a Portuguese pastry called “ovo moles.”

However, as an American, I see furniture waffles. I’ll take two chairs and a lamp, and pass the syrup.

How To Cook Eggs in a Waffle Iron

Are your morning eggs a bit too boring and round for you? Jessica, aka The Novice Chef, discovered a great way to add some interest, and a grid system, to your boring sunny-side-ups. Behold the Waffle Egg.

Looking to put a twist on the traditional Croque Madame, Jessica decided to forego the skillet and its lack of corners, and poured an egg right into a waffle iron. The result — an egg topper fit for any great homecook or cubist, and a Croque Madame that will piss off a few Frenchmen. Nice work Jess!
