To help celebrate Tim Burton’s 55th birthday, Cakenweenie summoned cake artists to create works inspired by Burton’s films. Shuffling through the 100 cakes, it’s a reminder of some films that we forgot Burton had a hand in, i.e., the cakes that aren’t just a giant Johnny Depp. See more here.
Artist and edible zoetrope master, Alexandre Dubosc, recently created The Caketrope of Burton’s Team — an animated cake celebrating the works of Tim Burton. The awesome and macabre cake puts on a visual display from every angle, with a few obvious and some abstract references to Burton’s films.
Hopefully, Dubosc’s work doesn’t follow the same trajectory as Burton’s. Or, we’ll keep seeing the same cake remade over and over again — with Johnny Depp.
