Krispy Kreme Doughnut Jelly Beans Are Happening

No need for them to be “Hot and Ready,” Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will soon be available in convenient jelly bean-form.

Spotted at the Sweets & Snacks Expo 2017, Jelly Belly Krispy Kremes will offer Cinnamon Apple Filled, Strawberry Iced, Original Glazed, Glazed Blueberry Cake, and Chocolate Iced With Sprinkles.

No mention yet of how, when or why these will be released to the public… but keep an eye out, bean-eaters.

The Time You Have (In JellyBeans)

The Time You Have (In JellyBeans) is a thought-provoking short film by humorist ZeFrank. In it, we learn about our actual time spent doing mundane everyday activities, presented with a visual aid that we can all understand… Jelly beans.

Using 28,835 of them — the number of days in an average human life cycle — the beans are counted and removed until only one remains. Then we’re forced to think, when all we’d really like to do is go grab a bag of Jelly Bellies. Please enjoy…

Famous Works of Art Recreated With Jelly Beans

Artist Kristen Cumings recreated a few classic paintings using thousands of jelly beans. Commissioned by Jelly Belly for their Jelly Belly Masterpieces of Confectionary Art seriesCumings spent about 50-60 hours on each 4′ x 6′ mural.

Spray adhesive was used to stick the beans to canvas, then the finished product is coated with acrylic for protection, and to discourage licking of the art. A few of the recreations include The Mona Lisa, Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.
