More Foods Carefully Arranged To Form Gradients and Patterns

blincoe-instagram

Photographer Emily Blincoe likes to arrange things neatly. Lucky for us, she also likes to take pictures, and documents her careful arrangements for all of us to enjoy.

There’s something very comforting about consistency in color and pattern — evidenced by a deconstructed bowl of Fruity Pebbles, a perfectly-segmented pizza, or consistent pickles. Nothing like consistent pickles.

See more below, and other neatly-arranged objects at Blincoe’s Instagram.

Illustrations Finished With Well-Placed Food Items

mensa-1

Why finish an illustration with boring ink, when there are perfectly good foodstuffs that’ll really help tie that drawing together?

Artist Kristián Mensa, a.k.a. mr. kriss, uses food and other everyday objects in his illustrations. Whether it’s rigatoni as a ship’s smokestack or spaghetti as guitar strings, Mensa’s illustrations are a great way to combine ink and edibles.

Choclatomy, Chocolates Paired With Anatomy Illustrations

choclatomy-7

Hey, you got chocolate in my anatomy! Pakistan-based illustrator Asma Javeri created Choclatomy — a series of human anatomy illustrations paired with delicious chocolates and truffles.

Now, one might ask what a KitKat has to do with a rib cage, or a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup with a foot. It doesn’t matter… the series is aesthetically pleasing enough, that we’ve decided that chocolate and anatomy now goes together like chocolate and peanut butter. So there.

See more of Javeri’s work below and over at Instragram.

Illustrations of Food and Animals That The Artist Interacts With

christy-yee-4

What fun are illustrations of food and hungry animals, if you don’t feel as though you could reach out and touch them? Malaysian artist Christie Tan is helping to do just that, with an Instagram series of food and animals.

To help take her already awesome illustrations of a food item and an animal a step further, Tan uses creative paper cuts and her own interaction with the drawings, to help bring them to life.

You can see more of Tan’s work below and over at Instagram.
