Using a combination of brightly-colored yarns, wire and foam to shape his creations — Smith creates classic dishes with an ephemeral and Kodacrome-esque feel to them. Even the kitchen appliances Smith creates feel awesomely vintage. See more below and here.

Fried Eggs Made Into Works of Art Is No Yolk

The most important meal of the day, may be this egg art by Mexican artist Michele Baldini.

Officially titled, The Eggs-hibit, most pieces are sculpted from an egg white, and a perfectly intact yolk, while some are scrambled. Countries, states, pop culture characters, and logos get this eggs-cellent treatment.

This Ceramic Donut Art Offers Culture By The Dozen

Donuts, already a work of art, have been rethought and made museum-quality by artist, Jae Yong Kim.

Using standard holed and filled donuts as inspiration, Jae creates pop culture-tinged ceramic versions — modifying the shapes a bit and expertly painting and glazing them.
