This Vintage Crocheted Food Looks Sew Delicious

February 1, 2018 by Chris Durso

photos: Trevor Smith and Michael Reid Sydney

What is it about crocheted food that appeals to our eyes and bellies, and makes us miss grandma? This is never more true, than when it’s in the hands of an artist such as Trevor Smith.

Using a combination of brightly-colored yarns, wire and foam to shape his creations — Smith creates classic dishes with an ephemeral and Kodacrome-esque feel to them. Even the kitchen appliances Smith creates feel awesomely vintage. See more below and here.
