Bacon Cookies

Bacon just got sweeter, with Bacon Cookies by Not Your Momma’s Cookie. Using a simple sugar cookie recipe and food coloring, Jennifer uses a brilliant and Play-Doh-inspired technique to get the sweet bacon spot-on. Bonus points for the “pepper” layer that can be created with dyed sugar.

Now pass the syrup and let’s get this breakfast started.

Cadbury Crème Egg Crème Brulee

There are few things better than breaking into the sweet protective layer of a Crème Brûlée. But if the path to the creamy goodness beneath was to be impeded by a large object, then it might as well be a Cadbury Creme Egg. Peabody agrees, and brings us The Cadbury Crème Egg Crème Brulee.

So grab a blow torch, and put on your fat pants. Instructions for Creme overload can be found here.

Apple Pi

Today, Pi Day, is meant to celebrate math curriculum and to promote math awareness. But we all know that the best thing about 3.14, is the play on words that gives us an excuse to talk about pie. Then there’s the merging of the two, and thus far there has been none better than the Apple Pi by Shannon of a periodic table.

Using the numbers associated with the mathematical constant, Shannon not only adorned the pie crust with them, but created apple numbers to fill the nerdiest pie ever. Happy Pi Day.

How to Bake Brownies in an Eggshell

As if brownies couldn’t get any awesomer, Spanish-language site La Receta de la Felicidad, has a ‘How To’ and recipe for making your brownies egg-shaped. With the help of actual eggshells, it’s as simple as drilling a small hole, filling it with batter, and baking. Appreciate your brownie orbs even more by using your ‘special’ recipe. Use a Pot Holder.

This Breakfast Is Dessert

What appears at first glance to be a traditional Irish breakfast, is actually a plate of sweet treats. Created by Vicky McDonald of S’tasty, nothing is as it seems — starting with the sunny-side up fried egg (panna cotta and lemon curd), bacon (candied brandy snaps), black pudding (chocolate biscuit cake), hash browns (panko brioche jam sandwich) and more. Breakfast dessert is served.

Recipes for each item can be found here and here.
