The Bread Code Is Here To Help

Never buy 3-day-old bread again, because you now know the bread code. Those little plastic bread ties, besides being deadly weapons, are color-coded to tell you which day of the week the loaf was baked.

Blue: Monday
Green: Tuesday
Red: Thursday
White: Friday
Yellow: Saturday

But apparently the code seen above only applies to some brands, with the most well-known being Wonder Bread. However, brands that still use a plastic tie do have a their own color code system. So learn the one for your bread of choice, and never get caught squeezing your loaf in the bread aisle again.
