The Banana Car

Move over, Weinermobile… There’s a new phallic motor vehicle on the road — The Big Banana Car. Brought to us by The Dirty Brothers, Steve and Spade Braithwaite, the four-seater former pickup truck was designed and painted to look just like an oversized banana.

The Big Banana Car will hopefully go on a world tour soon, as the brothers are looking to take it on a ride around the world. Keep an eye peeled, as it might slip into your town. See it before it splits. Ok, I’m done.

Tattooed Bananas

Using nothing more than a push pin and a banana — artist Phil Hansen creates beautiful works of art. Using a technique inspired by pointillism and old-school tattooing, Hansen punctures the banana’s skin with strategically placed pin holes. The peel’s tendency to turn brown then brings the art to life — albeit short-lived, before the whole banana rots over.
