Brought to us by artist Sarah DeRemer, Animal Food turns a few already delicious animals into animal/food hybrids with wonderfully punny names.

Hippotato, Limon, and the Cardinato are just a few of the animal foods that we’d like to spot in the wild and in the supermarket.

And, not to put any pressure on the food scientists out there… But, how far away are we from making an actual orange chicken? Let’s get on this.

3D Animals In Your Food Is Officially A Thing

1

It’s not just capybaras swimming around in your food anymore. The trend of 3D edible animals in meals has officially exploded. Thanks to some creative use of ground-up radish, we’re seeing an assortment of adorable animals hanging out in a lot of dishes throughout Japan.

Referred to as “Daïkon Art,” other foods are sometimes introduced to create eyes and ears, with soy sauce making a great way to add color and contrast. Have fun biting their adorable little heads off.

How To Make Animal Corn On The Cob Holders

If you have some old toy animals laying around, and need to keep your cob in place, Animal Corn Holders are here to help. Inspired by a previous ceramic version, Mike over at Instructables came up with a fun plastic alternative.

All you’ll need is the aforementioned toy animals, some store-bought corn holders and a few other tools. The best part… You can put the animal back together when they don’t have a huge cob in place of their body.
