Airplane Cutlery That Turns Into An Airplane

October 10, 2013 by Chris Durso

ku-bigpic

When designer Eugeni Quitllet was asked to redesign Air France’s in-flight cutlery, he took his audience and client into account — perhaps a bit too much.

The series includes a knife, spoon, and fork with its own set of attachable wings. With some simple assembly, the utensils themselves turn into little airplanes. Fun for anyone who has something worth cutting during their in-flight meal.

Unless you happen to be sitting in front of any children, when they decide to try and make their fork fly. And, why no flying spork?
