Revisit Your Sugar-Addled Childhood with These Vintage Cereal Boxes

May 20, 2011 by Chris Durso

Was is it about vintage cereal boxes that gives us the warm and fuzzies? Perhaps it’s their ability to instantly remind us of a simpler time. A time when we were hooked on crunchy oat clusters and marbits, and our biggest concern of the day was what the prize at the bottom of the box would be.

As adults, we get collections like this one to help us take a look back. It’s also good to see that the cereal’s marketing strategies has not changed much. Garish colors, the promise of free prizes, and adorable mascots with their ‘come hither’ stare. It’s no wonder we’re hooked for life.

What are some of your favorites?
