Some members of the marketing team at DiGiorno are either brilliant, heavily stoned, a bit misguided in their attempts at sustainable packaging, or all of the above. Either way, the ‘pizza’ company has come up with one of the most polarizing food concepts in recent memory — Pizza & Cookies.
Wait it gets worse… If the idea of cookies alongside your pizza seems a bit of a stretch, then perhaps some hot wings in the same box would be more appropriate. Unfortunately, we will have to refer back to the previous assumption that somebody at DiGiorno is obscenely high — because they have unleashed a horrifying food product upon us called ‘wyngz‘.
Let’s assume in this case that the ‘y’ in wyngz represents the requisite vowel needed to form an actual word. We’ll also conveniently ignore that the word is followed by an asterisk.
Now ask yourself the question, “If a food item is spelled with an intelligible mishmash of letters, including a ‘z’ to imply plural… how high would I need to be to eat it?”
[via The Awesomer]
I think they’re called “wyngz” b/c they do not come directly from a chicken. As the asterisk indicates, they are not true chicken wings but “white meat chicken fritters,” Thus they cannot use the regulated term “wings”. Buon Appetito!
Well… pizza and cookies might be the right thing for everyone with “the munchies”.
For me… i will keep the good ol’ pizza alone.
And please leave me alone with everything that uses a Z for coolness.
