Japanese Orange Peel Art

Remember how excited you were the last time you were able to peel your orange in one continuous piece? Well, Mikan Art is here to help bring you down a notch.

The Japanese practice not only encourages the orange-eater to keep their entire peel intact, but to precisely tear the skin into art. Atarashii Mikan no Mukikata (New Ways to Peel a Mikan) by Yasuhiro Okada contains 25 examples of orange peel art. Happy peeling.
