S’mores Spaghetti

September 4, 2012 by Chris Durso

Summer is just about over. But that doesn’t mean S’mores season has to end — we just need to be creative. Fortunately, Nick from DudeFoods.com does that kind of out-of-the-box thinking for us. Combining his love of making campfire S’mores with some molecular gastronomy, Nick has created S’mores Spaghetti.

Using the usual suspects, along with a syringe and some fancy food science, Nick created two sets of noodles — chocolate and marshmallow. To finish the S’mores effect, graham crackers are crushed and sprinkled over the top — no campfire required. Bring on the Fall!

Red Solo Cup Wine Glasses

September 3, 2012 by Chris Durso

If you’re the type who likes a nice pinot or chardonnay at a backyard bash or tailgate — at least try to keep it real with a set of Solo Cup Wine Glasses. The upgrade from a standard plastic Solo will show your fellow party-goers that, even though you’ve chosen a different poison, you might still be up for a keg stand or two. Party on!

Bacon Skyline

September 3, 2012 by Chris Durso

Nothing helps to distinguish a major city better than its skyline. But the problem with New York City, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh is the unfortunate lack of a bacon backdrop.

The Bacon Skyline T-shirt depicts that wonderful city, where its residents never want for tasty bacon, and tourists will have their clothes smelling of pork fat for weeks — so, kinda like New York.

Miniature Models Made From Pasta

September 3, 2012 by Chris Durso

There’s no denying the brilliance of Fusilli Jerry and Macaroni Midler. But Russian artist Sergey Pakhomov takes pasta art to a whole new level. Using his patented pasta-making techniques, Pakhomov creates anything from scale models of planes and tanks, to small pasta towns.

While including almost any type of uncooked pasta available, Sergey has completed about 30 sculptures, each one taking 20-30 hours to complete. Now, Ravioli George will have something to get around in.
