McDonald’s Goes Logo-Less in ‘Unbranded’ Ad Series

1

It took over 70 years and billions of customers served globally — but McDonald’s can finally make ads with no copy or logos on it. Referred to as the ‘Unbranded’ campaign, the series of extreme close-ups was created by ad agency TBWA\Paris for use in outdoor ads throughout France.

Well done, McDonald’s and TBWA. You’ve not only successfully executed an unbranded ad campaign, but managed to make McDonald’s food appear somewhat edible. Although, we imagine being that close to the actual product would be quite horrifying.

Customizable Paper Cups Display Different Emoticons

3466795_orig

If you’re the type who expresses themselves best with a keyboard-induced pictorial representation of a facial expression, and you like cups, check out Emoji Paper Cups. The cups will not only let everyone else in viewing distance know how you feel, but they can be altered as your mood changes.

For instance, in the morning, you can show how you feel before your coffee (whatever the emoticon for ‘stabby’ is), and then progress to ‘less stabby.’ Emoji Cups are also great for parties, for when you’d rather not mistakenly drink from your grumpy friend’s cup.

Finally, Soda and Brisket Packaged Together

big-red

Soda and brisket go together like bacon and anything. And you could buy them packaged separately, but that just sounds like a lot of work.

Fortunately, Texas-based soda company Big Red has at least suggested the idea of housing yummy brisket and refreshing soda together. The result, although fictional and highly dramatized, is thought-provoking and pretty disgusting. Enjoy.

Ice Cream Flavors Inspired By Books

Ice-cream-books-2

I scream for literature. Ice Cream Flavors Inspired by Books is brought to us by Quirk Books in honor of National Ice Cream Month. The frozen works of fiction include, A Clockwork Orange Creamsicle, War and Peach, and Oliver Twist.

So… Is there a Cliffs Notes version available? For those who’d just like some ice cream quick, without all the learning and stuff. Asking for a friend.
