The Pumpple: The Turducken of Desserts

November 1, 2010 by Chris Durso 2 Comments

Borrowed from the Turducken school of thought, the Pumpple is a pumpkin and apple pie baked in chocolate and vanilla cake.

Brought to us by The Flying Monkey bakery in Philadelphia, the Matryoshka-style dessert weighs in at an infant-like 15 pounds, is a foot tall, and delivers about 1,800 calories per slice.

* we defy anyone to make it through the entire clip of Hoda and Kathie Lee trying the Pumpple, without punching their computer screen.

There’s also the Capownie which puts brownies and cheesecake inside the cake and pie.

The “pumple” was actually ripped off from an earlier (and even more awesome) creation, the cherpumple. (Look it up on YouTube — it’s astounding.)
