The SPAM Can Guitar Amp Will Rock Lunch

spam-can-guitar-amp

Nothing says, ‘rock and roll,’ quite like a can of chopped pork and ham. The makers of The SPAMP knows this.

The fully-functional pre-amplifer/practice amp is made from an actual Spam can. Assuming that all of the pork-parts were removed first, the SPAMP contains Pro Audio Grade Components, including a Discrete JFET Amplifier.

It also has a few effect settings such as ‘Fried’ (even harmonics for a warm fuzz), ‘Grilled’ (odd harmonics for a meatier overdrive distortion), and ‘Chilled’ (no distortion, just the warm tone of JFET amplification). ‘Spice’ and ‘Heat’ control the harshness of the distortion and the post-distortion signal level respectively. Plug in and spam all of your friends.

Pinhole Camera Made From a Spam Can

spam-camera

Once all of that hammy goodness is gone… What is one to do with the big empty Spam can? Well, one idea is to clean out the gelatinous remnants and create a pinhole camera. Created by Scott from F295, the Spamera has a 50mm focal length, .3mm EMS pinhole and a 6×6.5cm image area. Perfect for taking pictures of ham.

The actual construction of the camera is a bit crude, but then again, so is Spam. DIY instructions can be found here.
