This Artist’s Take on Happy Meals Is The Fast Food We Deserve

happy-meals-1

Happy Meals have been catered to little kids for far too long. And, we want our combo meal with included toy!

Artist Newt Clements has come up with a series of Happy Meals that is a bit more adult. From The Big Lebowski, Breaking Bad, and a plethora of horror movie Happy Meals… these themes would surely be too much for a youngster to handle. But honestly… Are they any scarier than this guy?

See the entire Happy Meals series on Pinterest.

Photoshop’s New Chinese Food Tool

Do you have photos of Chinese food that are a bit too appealing? Would you like to give them the authentic look of a Chinese restaurant menu? Then be sure to include Photoshop’s New Chinese Food Tool in your next Creative Suite.

Actually part of a parody video by CollegeHumor, the fake PS plug-in would help add very realistic effects to your Chinese food photos. Use the option for making the photo appear sun-faded and creased, the ‘aging’ filter on your white rice, or add way too many textures to your Kung Pao.

Elvis Oreo

To help commemorate Elvis Week — a celebration of The King of Rock and Roll’s life, and the anniversary of his passing — Oreo made him into a cookie. Elvis Oreo is part of Nabisco’s uber-brilliant Daily Twist campaign — a series that is taking us through 100 days of significant news events and milestones in cookie form.

You may remember Oreo had recently caused a stir with their fictitious rainbow version during Gay Pride Week. Which reminds me… Hey, Nabisco… We’re still waiting for our Sextuple Stuf Oreo. What’s the holdup?

Mind-Bending Food Photography by Jean Francois De Witte

The manipulative food photography seen here, is the work of Belgium-based photographer Jean Francois De Witte. De Witte, having an obvious mastery of food styling and Photoshop, creates slightly mind-bending works of art, with different foodstuffs as the medium of choice. Whether it’s eggplant wine, the blue cheese bullet train, or the meat car — De Witte’s work usually requires a second look.

More works can be found at De Witte’s website.
