KFC Hot and Spicy Chicken Is Fire In These Clever Ads

KFC Hong Kong wants to imply that their Hot & Spicy Chicken is hot. And, if these print ads by Ogilvy Hong Kong are any indication, the chicken is burning rocket fuel-type hot.

With the use of creative placement and clever lighting, actual KFC chicken parts are used to represent fire and smoke. The space shuttle has lift-off, indicated by the drumsticks and wings it leaves behind, while imitation Power Rangers pose in front of a chicken explosion.

These Burger King Ads Show Actual BKs Burning Down To Remind Us That They Still Flame-Broil Their Burgers

BS_Oregon

Well, that’s one way to get the point across. Burger King wants you to know that their burgers are still flame broiled. To drive the point home even further, their new ad campaign is straight fire.

The series shows actual emergency scenes of BK restaurants burning down — implying that their flame-broiling is the real deal, and unfortunately not limited to the burgers.

So, are we to assume that McDonald’s locations never burn down? They do, but it’s usually because someone left an apple pie in the microwave too long. True story.

The Bomb, A Pizza That’s Cooked By Lighting It On Fire

bomb-pizza

Sure, we could place a pizza in an oven and allow radiant heat to do its work… but that’s incredibly boring, and we don’t get to light anything on fire.

The Bomb is here to cure our pizza boredom and give us a fire fix. Brought to us by The Place in Seoul, South Korea — a standard pie in encased in a giant dough-ball, doused with oil, and set ablaze.

The result… a burnt dough ball, with a cooked pizza surprise inside. Whether the pizza is any good is no matter, because FIRE!! FIRE!!

Outback Promotes Its New Steaks by Lighting a Billboard on Fire

Outback Steakhouse recently decided to promote their new Wood-Fire Grill, by combining fire, billboards, and poor judgement. And since boring two-dimensional flames would certainly not be enough to distract drivers, Outback went with the real thing.

So, in closing… open flame on red meat, good. Open flame on billboard, bad. Enjoy.
