Sorry to ruin everyone’s childhood, but E.T. will not be phoning home anytime soon. At least this version of our favorite homesick alien won’t be.
Eating E.T. is brought to us by Terje Östling and Swedish design firm, Unsworn Industries. The project aims to explore “our intimate relations to other species, real and fictional,” by impaling E.T. on a spit and roasting him over open coals.
This particular E.T. was created using vegan ingredients and cooked at the Exploring the Animal Turn Symposium in Lund, Sweden — while another was created for Foodycle in Helsinki. Mmm… extraterrestrially.
