A ‘Breaking Bad’ Coffee Shop Is Coming To Brooklyn

Because we can never have enough meth-inspired coffee shops, a new Breaking Bad-themed spot is coming to Brooklyn.

Walter’s, named after the TV series’ title character, is an Istanbul-based coffee roaster, with its second location set to open in NYC this summer.

Naturally, baristas will don hazmat suits and gasmasks while they carefully brew your coffee. No mention if they’ll do a special blue batch.

TV Dinners, An Illustration Series of Fictional Meals From Television and Movies

mcdowells-menu

TV Dinners is a fun illustration series by artist Kyle Platts. It’s part of a project by Food Republic that asks artists to “dream up a fantasy restaurant, then devise a menu for it.”

London-based Platts chose to visualize a few fictional foods from television and movies. Whether a McDowell’s combo meal from Coming To America, or a yummy stallion heart from Game of Thrones — the drawings might make you yearn for some cartoon grub while you queue up some Netflix.

Twinkie Me, Bitch!: Breaking Bad Meets Vintage Twinkies Comics

twinkies-breaking-bad

Breaking Bad is no longer, and Twinkies are sort of in limbo. So, a big thanks to artist Brendan Tobin for resurrecting the two, with Twinkie Me, Bitch!.

The short story, inspired by vintage Hostess comic book ads, combines the recently retired TV show and the imperishable yellow sponge cake into a brilliant spoof.

Coincidentally, there’s about the same amount of lethal chemicals in Twinkies as there are in meth — so, the ending is fully plausible. Well done, sir.
