How To Make Carol’s Beet and Acorn Cookies From The Walking Dead

If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, then you know that food and happiness are in short supply. So, when despite the surrounding apocalypse, Carol manages to make cookies out of beets and acorns — they’re going to be the best damn root vegetable cookies ever.

Andrew Rea, of Baking with Babish, is here to show us how to make our own. Although it takes several tries, and neither cookie seems to pass any sort of taste test — remember that the alternative in the show would be to eat a large tin of chocolate pudding, or straight-up canned beets. Unless you’re unfortunate enough to get eaten first. Please watch.

BeetBox, The Vegetable-Powered Musical Instrument

And, when roasted, those same beats make a tasty side dish.
