Not to be outdone by sandwiches and candy bars, fruits and vegetables are now getting in on the scanning action. Consumables is a food art series by UK photographer Matt Walford, who similar to our other bisected foodstuffs, scans his subjects.
Walford then takes these images a bit further with some digital photography techniques. The result is beautiful and surreal imagery that almost makes the viewer forget that they are looking at anything real, let alone edible.
