Half Batman Wedding Cake Is All Awesome

September 26, 2013 by Chris Durso

When the groom gets involved with wedding planning, stuff like a Half-Batman Wedding Cake is bound to happen.

Brought to us by Stiletto Studio in New Zealand, the cake was created for the wedding of a hardcore Batman fan [obvs], and one of the most understanding brides on the planet. Good luck on the honeymoon to Hawaii and Gotham.

The AT-AT Groom’s Cake was created by Chris over at Cake Central. Showing an incredible attention to detail and respect for geek culture, the 2-ft. high cake was lemon raspberry flavored and ready to strike back at the wedding reception.

The Greatest Skull Wedding Cake That You’ll See Today

March 25, 2013 by Chris Durso

Nothing says “‘til death do us part” quite like a wedding cake adorned with skulls. Created by food artist Annabel de Vetten of Conjurer’s Kitchen, the cake features a variety of chocolate noggins — including that of 16 carrion crows, 12 domestic kittens, 3 Vervet monkeys, and 4 barn owls.

The bride and groom do however get some creative input on their cake, as there’s two options for a cake topper — a conjoined kitten skull, or dried flowers from an actual wedding bouquet. The kitten definitely gets the point across a little better, but hey, it’s your wedding.

Wedding Dress Cake

March 7, 2013 by Chris Durso

So much planning goes into a wedding. There’s the dress, the cake, the dress cake… Wait, what? Created by the “Fairy Godmother of Wedding Cakes” Donna Millington-Day, the Wedding Dress Cake is beautiful enough to wear on your big day and almost too nice to eat.

The dress cake is made from 17 tiers of sponge cake, 22 kilograms of icing, one kilogram of royal icing and hundreds of sugar pearls. When served it would be enough for about 2000 guests. Hopefully it’s not red velvet inside.
