This Nanobrewery Focuses on Size, Quality, and Hipsterness

September 8, 2015 by Chris Durso

nanobrewery

The concept behind beer microbreweries is simple… scale back production size to help focus on quality over quantity. The nanobrewery is here to take this concept to ridiculous new levels.

Pint Sized: America’s Smallest Brewery feels strongly that smaller is better — even if it means that our beer should be enjoyed by the sip, rather than by the brew-specific glass or bespoke growler.

The short film, while satirical, is not a far stretch from reality… A mustache-waxing, Brooklyn-loft-renting reality. Please enjoy.

There’s a Pop-Tart Beer Now

August 21, 2015 by Chris Durso

As beer inches closer to becoming a socially acceptable breakfast, a Pop-Tart-inspired beer makes perfect sense.

Created by 21st Amendment Brewery, Toaster Pastry India Style Red Ale will help get the day started. Although a 7.6% ABV and 74 IBU isn’t terribly morning-friendly — it’s nothing some extra frosting and sprinkles can’t fix.

The Toaster Pastry beer will be released on August 29th, as part of 21st Amendment’s launch of their new brew facility in San Leandro, CA.

Wheaties Cereal Has A Beer Now

August 13, 2015 by Chris Durso

There’s a new breakfast of champions. Wheaties recently teamed up with Fulton Brewery to create HefeWheaties — a beer inspired by the breakfast cereal.

The beer is an American-style Hefeweizen (wheat beer), however it doesn’t actually contain any Wheaties. So, pouring this beer into your Wheaties would not be redundant.

Now, the question remains… Will HefeWheaties start displaying above-average drinkers on the can? Perhaps, athletes with drinking problems? Either way, the beer will be available in 16-ounce cans, but will only see limited release in Minnesota.

Brew Candles Will Help The House Smell Like Beer, More So

December 15, 2014 by Chris Durso

Fill any room with the pleasant aroma of beer with Brew Candles. The all soy candles are made in the USA by Swag Brewery.

Choose the citrusy goodness of Hoppy IPA, the earthiness of a Vanilla Porter, or the sweetness of Apricot Wheat. Either way, you can have your home smelling of a brewery. But a craft brewery, so you can be classy.

Synex, A Single-Serve Home System For Dispensing Craft Beer

July 1, 2014 by Chris Durso

Synek1

The enormous growth of the American craft beer industry is nothing short of extraordinary. But, as we all know, beer drinkers and Americans are all about convenience. Coffee drinkers have their lives made easier by Keurig, and even tortilla-maker’s get some love. Now, it’s the beer lover’s turn.

Synex is a system designed for the home, that will dispense the beer of your choice at the pull of a tap. No longer will we have to drive all the way to the liquor store and buy a whole six-pack or 750ml, only to see its quality diminish if it sits around too long.

The Synex, via vacuum-sealed cartridges, deliver the fresh beer of your choice, one beer at a time. The package-o-beer will keep a gallon of beer fresh for up to 30 days — significantly longer than any bottling, including that enormous growler taking up space in the fridge. The Synex is currently in Kickstarter phase.
