Spilled Coffee Art Is A Wonderful Accident

July 2, 2015 by Chris Durso

When you spill your coffee… Does it just look like, you know, a spill?

It’s OK, we can’t all be artists like Giulia Bernardelli, who sees spilled coffee as an opportunity. The best part is, her coffee paintings are done spontaneously, meaning that Giulia does not plan these ahead of time, and uses whatever means are available to draw with.

See more below and over at Instagram.

These Watermelon Heads Are Here To Help Celebrate America’s Birthday

July 1, 2015 by Chris Durso

For most Americans, not only does The 4th of July mean backyard BBQs and fireworks, but it’s also a time to step up your table centerpiece game.

Charles Phoenix knows this, and has created a series of Watermelon Mascots that will improve any table. Inspired by a photo from 1976, the watermelons use various foodstuffs, applied by Phoenix, to bring them to life.

So, they’re like Mr. Potato Head, but far more perishable and patriotic. U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!

These Meals Are Made Entirely of Rock

July 1, 2015 by Chris Durso

Are you ready to rock dinner? [sorry]

Spotted at the 2015 San Diego County Fair, these seemingly delicious meals are made entirely of found minerals. The plates were put together by ‘rockhounds’ showing off the result of their geological digs.

Now, we have the rock… Please pass the rolls. [sorry]
