KFC Has Unleashed The Double Down Dog

January 26, 2015 by Chris Durso

Intent on making sure that all bread is eventually replaced with fried chicken, KFC is now testing out the Double Down Dog.

Following in the protein-heavy footsteps of the KFC Double Down, the Double Down Dog is a wiener wrapped in a slab of fried chicken, and covered in a mysterious cheese sauce.

Unfortunately, for anyone who’s morbidly curious about ingesting one of these, the Double Down Dog is only available for a very limited test release in parts of the Philippines.

Now, can someone explain how they get the chicken to bend like that? Asking for a friend.

Two works of classic American art — Andy Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s soup cans and Converse canvas footwear — recently joined forces to create Converse Campbell’s Sneakers.

Teaming up with the Andy Warhol Foundation, Converse is offering the soup shoes in Tomato, Black Bean, and Vegetable — as well as a collage of soup cans and other works from Warhol.

So, if you’re a fan of Warhol, soup, vintage kicks, or all of the above… the Converse Campbell’s Sneakers go on sale February 7. A portion of the sales will go to the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Check them out here.

Grab a few candles to help remind yourself that the actual cookies will be here soon. Or, light up a candle as you chow down on the actual cookies. In which case, you might have a bit of a problem.

Bud Light, in their endless quest to get you to drink their diet beer-like beverage, has gone old-school with their #UpForWhatever campaign, creating a real-life game of Pac-Man.

The new commercial, that will run sometime during Super Bowl XLIX, features a bar patron just looking to score a beer. What the unsuspecting drinker doesn’t realize, is that he’ll have to earn his Bud Light by collecting power pellets and dodging giant ghosts.

His reward… minor internet fame, a shiny new Bud Light, and possibly a giant piece of fruit to take home for a snack. Please watch this…

A Series of Vitamin Letters Made From Foods That Contain Them

January 23, 2015 by Chris Durso

vitaminsLithuanian artist Andy Diak created a fun typography series, Vitamins. The letters and numbers represent vitamins and minerals, e.g. A, C, K, Zinc, etc., and are made up of foods that contain the most of each.

Citrus and peppers make up a C, while Zinc (Zn) is created with beans and seeds. See more of the delicious typography here.
