Your fast food combo meal just got happier. Hero Burger, a series of superhero-inspired papercraft, is brought to us by Korean artist bogtae.

Is a Batman Burger what you crave? Or, perhaps a Captain America combo with freedom fries is more your thing? Even young girls can power-up their lunch with a Wonder Woman meal.

And, because this is ‘Merica and all, you can super-size it with The Hulk.

Superhero Wedding Cake Is Beautifully Geeky

When you finally find the person you’d like to spend the rest of your life geeking out with, you might consider something like a Superhero Wedding Cake.

Brought to us by Sweet Frostings Bake Shop, the three-tiered cake displays the insignia of Wonder Woman and Captain America. It also includes a cake topper of the superhero couple on top.

Unfortunately, the newlyweds have a challenging road ahead of them — considering that they’re attempting a union of DC and Marvel. We wish them luck.

Baked Goods As Fine Art, A Fundraising Project By Britain’s Art Fund

February 26, 2014 by Chris Durso 1 Comment

Now, this is a bake sale that we can get on board with. The Art Fund, a British fundraising charity for art, has come up with a creative way to encourage bakers and food artists to get involved for a good cause.

Edible Masterpieces urges bakers to not only create yummy treats to help raise money for UK museums and galleries, but to pay homage to some fine art in the process.

To get it started, the Art Fund recruited artists Georgia Levy, Kim Morphew, and Lydia Brun. The result — a Pollock Rice Krispies Treat, Mondrian Cake and an edible Van Gogh. Find out more about the project here.

A Minor League Baseball Team Unveils Bacon-Themed Uniforms

We’ll always root for bacon. And, now it’s become even easier, thanks to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

A minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, the IronPigs have recently unveiled a new line of uniforms. And, of particular interest, is their Saturday attire that includes bacon.

The pork-centric campaign includes a new website called smellthechange.com, where you can view the entire line of the IronPigs’ new unis. Although, all of them are pretty sweet, we can only support IronPigs Saturday baseball at this time. Go, bacon!!

Taco Bell Has Unleashed The Waffle Taco

February 25, 2014 by Chris Durso Leave a Comment

Taco Bell has finally thrown its sombrero into the fast food breakfast ring. And, with a fast food establishment that specializes in tex-mex-like fare, a Waffle Taco was inevitable.

Although, simply folding a waffle to house other questionable breakfast items, does not a taco make — anyone who’s ever been in a rush in the morning could tell you that — Taco Bell is also offering something called an A.M. Crunchwrap and the ubiquitous Breakfast Burrito.

A Super-Duper Morning Chalupa cannot be far behind. Actually, that sounds pretty awesome.
