This Is Now The World’s Strongest Beer, Part IV

It started innocently enough with a beer wrapped in a dead squirrel. Then, the pissing contest that is the world’s strongest beer got a little out of hand. The latest ‘beer,’ titled Snake Venom, is brought to us by Scottish brewery Brewmeister.

Clocking in at a hard-liquoresque 67% ABV, Snake Venom is made with smoked peat malt and two types of yeast — Champagne yeast and ale yeast.

The new grand champion of ABV will certainly challenge our perception of what is actually considered a beer. Even more so than anything wrapped in a rodent’s pelt.

Triumph The Insult Comic Dog At The Great American Beer Festival

Triumph The Insult Comic Dog recently visited the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado. And, with the event’s mix of questionable fashion and hygiene, a lopsided guy to girl ratio, mixed with unbearable pretentiousness, it was a treasure trove of material for the quick-witted rubber puppet.

Scotchy Scotch Scotch, A Ron Burgundy Ice Cream By Ben & Jerry’s

Great Odin’s raven… Ben & Jerry’s has come up with Scotchy Scotch Scotch — an ice cream flavor inspired by Anchorman and everyone’s favorite mustachioed ’70s news anchor, Ron Burgundy. It’s kind of a big deal.

Scotchy Scotch Scotch is butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls. And, it’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good. We might have made that last part up.

Either way, the Anchorman ice cream is only available in limited release. So be sure to get some down, down into your belly. OK, we’re done with movie quotes. But you be sure to stay classy, San Diego. OK, now we’re done.

Chicken Nuggets Under A Microscope

The mystery food item known as the Chicken Nugget has been under investigation ever since we discovered pink slime. Now, nuggets are literally under a microscope.

A few chicken nuggets were sampled from two different fast food chains, and the magnified results are what you might expect. Lots of nuggety goodness, with little trace of anything resembling white meat or nutritional value.

The nugget experiment was conducted by Richard D. deShazo, MD, and Steven Bigler, MD — which they’ve published to the American Journal of Medicine.
