Photos of Smartphones Replaced With Sandwiches

May 31, 2013 by Chris Durso

2

At any given time, we’re either holding a smartphone or a sandwich. And since we tend to exhibit the same wide-eyed enthusiasm at the sight of each, Phones Replaced with Sandwiches makes perfect sense.

The new Tumblr blog, using the easy target of stock photos, simply inserts a yummy sandwich in place of a smartphone, making for a rather seamless transition. Just try to look up every once in a while, people. We know sandwiches are very important.

Star Trek Has A Wine Now

May 31, 2013 by Chris Durso

Although Star Trek has already ventured into the booze business with Vulcan Ale, they’ve recently classed it up a bit with a line of wines. Produced by Vinasa Winery in Sonoma — trekkies and other random geeks can enjoy a Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese.

The retro labels were created by artist Juan Ortiz and based on three original episodes: “The City on the Edge of Forever,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and “The Trouble With Tribbles.”

Hands-Free Whopper Holder

May 31, 2013 by Chris Durso

whopper-holder

For the fast food eater who’s using their hands for more important things, there’s the Hands-Free Whopper Holder. Supposedly, a few of these were presented to fifty lucky fans in Puerto Rico, where they’re celebrating the chain’s fiftieth anniversary in the country. Simply strap it on as if it’s a human feedbag, and you can stay productive as you chow.

So, is this contraption real? We’re still not sure. But if this is some sort of slick marketing campaign to improve Puerto Rico’s chances of becoming a U.S. State, they’re certainly heading in the right direction. Please watch this…
