Mr. BLT

April 27, 2012 by Chris Durso

OK… I’ll be the first to admit that the Mr. T/tea jokes have gotten old. But leave it to artist David Schwen to reinvent a tired pun, with Mr. BLT. Now pass the mayo, fool!

Prints are available here, and you can vote to help Mr. BLT become a t-shirt here.

What’s Cooking? A Music Video of Rapping Food

April 26, 2012 by Chris Durso

Rapping about food is almost never not funny… almost. But what if the food itself was doing the rapping? A new music video, What’s Cooking?, tests the theory with a variety of foods talking about how great they are to a sampled track — just like real rappers. Enjoy.

Piñata Cookies

April 26, 2012 by Chris Durso

This Cinco de Mayo, besides having some bad Tex-Mex and watered-down Margaritas, you can whip up a batch of Piñata Cookies. Brought to us by She Knows, the colorful cookies are a fun way to get into the spirit, without having to climb a tree, or risk getting whacked with a wiffle ball bat.

Check out more photos and the step-by-step instructions here.

Sriracha Lollipops Exist

April 26, 2012 by Chris Durso

The ultimate honor for a food item — at least here in the states — is to be impaled on the end of a stick. So we have to wonder why a Sriracha Lollipop took so long. Nonetheless, the king of condiments finally gets the respect it deserves, and is brought to us by Lollyphile.
