Well, that didn’t take long. After Foodiggity reported on the world’s most expensive hamburger — mere hours ago — we received an onslaught of emails and comments disputing Serendipity’s claim of being the world’s most expensive hamburger. Enter the $666 Douche Burger.
Created by 666 Burger, a NYC food truck, the Douche Burger is more than double the price of Serendipity’s entry, with a fraction of the pretentiousness. A foie-stuffed, gold-leaf-wrapped Kobe patty is topped with caviar, lobster, truffles, Gruyere melted with Champagne steam, and BBQ sauce made using Kopi Luwak coffee. If you’re wondering why Kopi Luwak coffee is such a luxury item, perhaps it’s best not to know.
And, according to 666 Burger… “[The Douche Burger] may not taste good, but will make you feel rich as f*ck.” I’ll have two.
