Have Your Sushi Delivered By Bullet Train

Screen-Shot-2017-04-24-at-1.58.12-PM

You’ve probably seen sushi delivered via conveyor belt… but that’s too damn slow. Enter, Bullet Train Sushi by Magic Touch.

The Cerrito, California-based sushi restaurant figures that you don’t have time for your sushi-of-choice to slowly roll by. Instead, the patron orders what they want via iPad kiosk, and their train pulls into the station with the raw fish and rice cargo. See it in action below.

Sushi Tacos Are A Thing

There’s never a shortage of sushi-as-other-things around here. However, quite surprisingly, we have yet to see raw fish and rice in taco-form.

Norigami is here to change all of that, by bringing us the sushi-hybrid that we didn’t know we needed until this very moment. The seaweed ‘roll’ has been converted to taco shell-form with sushi components packed to the rim — as if it were from a legit taco stand.

The Southern California pop-up restaurant hopes to find a permanent brick and mortar shop, with a GoFundMe page to prove it. Check out more sushi tacos below and over at Instagram.

Kit-Kat Sushi Because Japan

kit-kat-sushi

A few of Japan’s favorite things, Kit Kat and sushi, are together at last.

Kit Kat Sushi is being brought to us by Japan’s first stand-alone Kit-Kat retail store. The mix of Japanese culture is modeled after pieces of traditional sushi and comes in three varieties — Maguro (raspberry-flavor Kit Kats on puffed rice), Uni (Hokkaido melon and mascarpone cheese flavored Kit Kats wrapped in seaweed), and Tamago (pumpkin pudding-flavored and wrapped with seaweed).

The new storefront will open in Tokyo Ginza between February 2 and February 4. Break me off a piece of that sushi bar.
