Star Trek Has A Wine Now

star-trek-wine

Although Star Trek has already ventured into the booze business with Vulcan Ale, they’ve recently classed it up a bit with a line of wines. Produced by Vinasa Winery in Sonoma — trekkies and other random geeks can enjoy a Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese.

The retro labels were created by artist Juan Ortiz and based on three original episodes: “The City on the Edge of Forever,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and “The Trouble With Tribbles.”

Star Wars/Star Trek Mashup Cookies

KlickitatStreet Star Trek Star Wars Mashup Quogs

Now that one person, J.J. Abrams, is responsible for the creative direction of both Star Wars and Star Trek, geeks worldwide are having an even harder time choosing sides. These cookies won’t help.

Brought to us by Sarah Trefney, Star Wars/Star Trek Cookies combines a few notable characters from the two franchises — such as Spock as Obi-Wan, Chekov as Luke, and Darth as a Klingon.

Hopefully the cookies taste as good as Episode VII sounds. Because batches I, II, and III tasted like crap.

Drink Long and Prosper with Vulcan Ale

Ale1

After a long day of mind-melding and getting beamed, it’s good to know that you can end the day with a Vulcan Ale. The Star Trek-inspired beer will be “a high-quality handcrafted Irish Red Ale that promises to explore a new universe of taste.”

Unfortunately, Vulcan Ale will only available in Canada beginning May 1st. So, live long and prosper, eh?

Spock Oven Mitt

Do your cooking and baking while celebrating your geekdom, with the Star Trek Spock Oven Mitt. The cotton and polyester oven mitt will help get a Vulcan grip on the hottest of pans and baking trays.

And, while it is always positioned in Spock’s sign of peace, it should help keep any hungry Klingons from stealing your Star Trek Cookies. Bake long and prosper.
