Record Packaging Made From Sugar

twws-sugar-album

What artists have to do to sell an album these days. Well, making the album out of a giant block of sugar is a good start. For Beacon’s first LP The Ways We Separate, Brooklyn-based sculptor Fernando Mastrangelo created a 13″x13″ cast sugar housing for the vinyl record.

And everyone loves sugar… You’ll just have to explain to your friends what vinyl is. The limited edition is available for pre-order here.

The Best Rap Song About Ramen Noodles That You’ll Hear Today

ramen-noodle-rap

Instant ramen noodles… They save us tons of money, and provide enough sodium per serving to last us at least a few weeks. Ramen Noodle Soup by Steven Jo is a worthy ode to the coed staple. And, unlike most YouTube music videos, it appears to have actually had a budget. It must be from all the money that they saved on dinner.

And, whether you subscribe to the instant variety of ramen or not, you’ll probably be singing this tune uncontrollably for most of the day. Our apologies in advance.

How To Turn An Empty Coca-Cola Bottle Into a Musical Instrument

coke-music

Brought to us by Generally and Especially, they show us how to engineer and repurpose those empties with a pretty cool design and campaign. The bad news… You have to drink all of the Coke first. Find out more about the idea here.
