The Colors You Should Be Eating

With help from the Union Square Greenmarket and Photoshop, Malaysian-born artist Tattfoo Tan created the Nature Matching System. By photographing produce and then pinpointing colors using Photoshop’s eyedrop tool, Tan created a sort of Pantone swatch book for nutrition.

But instead of matching spot and process colors like Pantone, the NMS and its 88 colors represent naturally occurring phytochemicals and beneficial nutrients — encouraging us to eat by color.

Popular New Cuisine Trends by The Onion

Everyone has their opinions on upcoming food trends, most of which are usually uneducated and pretentious. And since no one takes the piss quite like The Onion, they want in on the food trend fanaticism.

From their solution to the overdone slider, to continuing the relentless small plate backlash — no trend is safe. Although I really hope that Pan-Asian Whatsits is an actual thing.
