Bunny Tarts Are As Jiggly As They Are Adorable

Try not to be distracted by their adorable eyes and fluffy butt. Bunny Tarts demand to be eaten as quickly and as violently as possible.

Brought to us by io Design Studio in Taiwan, the bunnies sit atop a lemon tart and are made from yogurt and passion fruit. And, they’re jiggly, oh so jiggly.

Now, the question becomes… Do you go for the ears first? Are you an eyes gouger? Or, does one surgically dissect it and share the halved bunny with a friend?

Bunny Bread Is A Thing Because Japan

Apparently in Japan, if you’re making a sandwich with bread that isn’t bunny-shaped, you’re doing it wrong.

Bunny Bread is the latest quirky food trend from our friends in Japan. Whether it’s an ordinary loaf that happens to be bunny-shaped, or large rolls with bunny faces on them — as long as there’s long ears involved, it’s officially rabbit-bread season in Japan.

Bunny Cake and Other Surprise-Inside Cakes

1

When is a cake more than just a cake? When you slice it open and it stares back at you, that’s when.

The Bunny Cake is part of a series by Amanda Rettke of I Am Baker, where cakes get even better when sliced. Recently made into an entire book of creative baking called Surprise-Inside Cakes — you could be making your own in no time.

And, your cakes don’t all have to have big ears and large judgmental eyes. Shut up, bunny… It’s my last slice!

Bunny Bread is Almost Too Adorable to Eat

Photograph: Donna Currie

Easter came and went, and I somehow missed Bunny Bread. Brought to us by Donna Currie over at Serious Eats, the adorable bunny can be made with Currie’s recipe and some good shaping skills. But beware — dough bunnies tend to be uncooperative. So don’t be surprised if the first few attempts look like something that escaped from Pet Cematary.
