Meat Sections—a project by San Francisco based artist Alyson Thomas—sets out to prove that anything could be made infinitely cooler if broken down butcher-style.
The artist has covered the obvious subjects with illustrations and photography of pigs and other delicious animals. But it is when she stretches the concept of the diagram with rainbows, ghosts and the vuvuzela, that Meat Sections becomes one of the more creative projects that we have seen in a while.
And for the Twitterers out there… Alyson kindly breaks down the dreaded Fail Whale to its primal parts.
As butcher diagrams have suddenly become en vogue, this post has since turned into Part 1 of a trilogy. Check out Part 2 here and 3 here.
