Oliver Noble of Filmdrunk has compiled a Brief History of Conspicuous Product Placement in Movies. Although we’re no stranger to this gratuitous form of advertising, most people may not realize how far back the practice actually goes, or how thoroughly out of control it has spiraled.
Nor did we realize what a product whore Adam Sandler is. Although director Michael Bay is the most egregious sell-out, turning already unwatchable movies into two-hour long commercials — with dancing robots… Enjoy.
